EVNGENCO1's Youth Union members bring "Spring of Volunteering - Lighting up the highland villages" to children in Lao Cai province

With the desire to contribute a small part to alleviate difficulties for highland people, especially children - the country's preschool generation, the Youth Union of Power Generation Corporation 1 (EVNGENCO1) has coordinated with the Youth Union of EVN's members and the local Youth Union to organize the program "Spring of Volunteer – Lighting up the villages" in Lao Cai province. This is also one of outstanding social responsibilities of the EVNGENCO1's Youth Union on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

The program "Spring of Volunteering - Lighting up the highland villages" in Lao Cai in 2024 was held at Gia Phu Primary School and Hoa Ban Kindergarten (Gia Phu Commune, Bao Thang District, Lao Cai Province). These are two schools currently in lack of facilities, school supplies as well as funding to maintain school meals for boarding students.

265 gifts were given to children at 2 schools

With the support of a large number of employees and youth union members, the Program Organizing Committee received a total amount of over 188 million VND. All this donated money was used to renovate the electricity and lighting system and give 265 gifts to preschool and elementary school students in Gia Phu commune, each gift worth 200,000 VND (including including: rice, milk, school supplies, other necessary necessities etc.). In addition, other items received from the support of employees of units such as children's clothes, old books and stories, old and new notebooks and learning equipment, children's toys... are also acceptable. Cultural programs connecting children with Youth Union members

Joining hands and joining forces is a great source of encouragement connecting the compassionate hearts of EVNGENCO1 employees and the Youth Union members to children in the highlands who still have many difficulties and hardships and helping students. kindergartens and primary schools in Gia Phu commune have extra pens and notebooks to make class time more fun, helping children's meals at school to be more complete and also be a great source of encouragement for all teachers of the school.

Also in Gia Phu commune, the volunteer group also carried out a youth project of planting 200 trees in Dong Cam village area.

Within the framework of the program, youth union members participating in the program visited and learned about the history of the revolutionary base during the resistance war at Soi Co Historical Relic Area, in Gia Phu Commune, Bao Thang District, Lao Cai Province.
