Power Generation Corporation 1 (EVNGENCO1) is established according to the Decision No. 3023/QD-BCT dated June 1st, 2012 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade operating under the form of one-member limited liability company with 100% of the charter capital held by Vietnam Electricity (EVN) as the owner and officially came into operation from January 1st, 2013.
The operational objectives of EVNGENCO1 are to assure safe, continuous and stable power generation for political, cultural and social activities, national defense and security, economic development and people’s living conditions.
EVNGENCO1's main business lines are:
+ Producing and trading in electricity;
+ Investing and managing investment capital in power source projects, new energy projects, and renewable energy;
+ Implementing the management, operation, repair, maintenance, overhaul, testing, adjustment, renovation, upgrading of electrical, mechanical, control and automation equipment in electricity production lines and electrical works ; electrical experiments; Technical safety inspection of electrical equipment and tools; electrical mechanics;
+ Consulting the project management, construction investment project planning consulting, bidding consulting, estimating; consulting, verification and supervision of construction of power source projects and synchronous power grid projects of power source projects; consulting on production preparation activities for power plants;
+ Training and developing human resources in operation management, maintenance and repair of power plant equipment.
